It's raining now. Poem

It's raining now,
and I need a cup of tea
there's not much left, of the view I can see
through my window it's as grey as grey can be
the dishwater sky is like my eyes
lustre lost and ready to cry
what's the point now?
why should I leave?
when it's raining now
and I need a cup of tea.

It's cold in my cell, warmth is just out of reach
so cold I tremble a little,
what's the point in today?
what's the point of all this?
It's raining outside, and I'm shivering within
It's raining, and I need a cup of tea
all alone with a damp view
a cold cup of tea and me.
